Field patterns at Silloth Docks

 I realised that the fence at Silloth Docks looks like vectors for electric field pattern. This is almost a radial field for a positive charge (almost because they don't quite trace back to a true centre)

However these are definitely showing a uniform field between two parallel plates. The bottom plate would be positive and the top plate would be negative because the convention is that electric fields point from positive to negative.
